Made up of four stalwarts of the Chelmsford music scene, Lemoncurd Kids’ brand of catchy, anthemic and heart felt songs has seen the band go from strength to strength since combining in late 2014. A band that state; ‘It’s all about the quality of songs, putting the listener in our songs’ shoes and making them relate to their own experiences – we love a big chorus’ .Their curdigan -based antics have brought them much attention and success within their hometown and saw them pick up ‘Band Of The Year’ accolade at the prestigious Panic Awards 2016.
In June 2016 they unleashed a mighty blast of songs in the form of a debut album, which seemed to cement the Kids’ place in local folk law and heighten the influx of regular gig goers. The band then went on to play a long list of shows and festivals, always giving impassioned and quirky live performances to remember.
2017 sees the Kids back in the studio creating another explosive collection of anthems that will form their second album, with more shows and festivals to follow in the summer. Not to mention the retaining of their Title as ‘Band Of The Year 17’ and also pocketing ‘Band Of The Decade’ in the process. Momentum seems to be building for the Kids and they have rightly become ‘a must see’.
